How do You Qualify for Home Care?
In order for Medicare and Medicaid to pay for a patient’s home medical care, patients must meet these requirements:

  • Home care patients must be home bound. Patients may leave home occasionally for short periods of time, but the effort must be taxing.
  • There must be a skilled need such as nursing services or therapy treatments. These services must be ordered by a doctor. Ask your doctor if you will benefit from home healthcare services.
